First Fundraiser

January 1, 2015

The Rebound Foundation held its first fundraiser and secured the funds to start the foundation as a nonprofit, secure Marda’s House for the foundation and hire a contractor to assess the project costs of renovation.

Relocation To Nashville, TN

January 1, 2015

January 2015, following Christina and her husband Dana’s relocation to Nashville, Christina was asked to share her vision for Marda’s House and the Rebound Foundation at the YWCA of Nashville’s annual Wine, Women and Shoes event.

Partnership with YWCA

April 1, 2015

April 2015, Dana partnered with The MEND program of the YWCA to assist in bringing awareness to boys and men to help end domestic violence.

Women of Excellence Gala

October 1, 2015

October 2015, The Rebound Foundation was represented at the Women of Excellence Gala and Auction hosted by Williamson Co. Area Jack and Jill of America to further share the vision for Marda’s House.

Music City Derby Day 2016

October 15, 2015

October 2015, Dana and Christina’s efforts to end violence was featured by Bridges, a nonprofit to help the deaf and hard of hearing, for their annual Music City Derby Day 2016.

Board Structure

January 1, 2016

January 2016, Rebound Foundation began work to construct Organizational By-laws, Board Structure/Covenants and future Fundraising initiatives.

The Gathering

April 18, 2016

April 2016, Christina will speak on the platform at the coaches’ wives 9th annual special event, The Gathering. At this event, Christina will further bring awareness to the needs of domestic violence and how The Rebound Foundation is working to bridge those gaps in Chicago.

Women’s Day

July 24, 2016

Christina was recognized and honored during the women’s day celebration at The First Pentecost Church in Harvey, IL for her efforts to end domestic violence.

Sips, Sweets and Jewels

August 27, 2016

The Rebound hosted their second fundraiser “Sips, sweets and jewels” presented by Premier Jewelry.

October Jar Challenge

October 1, 2016

For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Rebound placed rebound jars in businesses around the city and suburbs of Chicago to spread their mission.

The Rebound Game

February 16, 2017

The Rebound Foundation held their first annual “Rebound Challenge Game” during the ESPNU nationally televised TSU men’s basketball game against Morehead State. Fans, Alumni and sponsors made pledges to end violence and bring awareness to the cause.

Linked to Excellence

March 20, 2017

Christina will represent The Rebound Foundation as the guest speaker on domestic violence awareness and conflict resolution to female students on the campus of Tennessee State University.

Vanderbilt Feminist Community Service Fair

September 22, 2017

The Rebound was featured as one of the community organizations, spreading awareness for the cause to the Vanderbilt Community.

6th Annual Stand Up and Speak Out Awareness Walk Against Domestic Violence

The Rebound came in support of such a great event where survivors were able to share their stories and educate the youth on domestic violence.

Take Back the Night Dupage

The Rebound was featured as an exhibitor in support of domestic violence awareness month and Reclaiming Me. This event linked many     organizations all working together to end violence and support victims and survivors.

Nashville Buddy Walk 2017

The Rebound will be featured as an exhibitor for the buddy walk 2017 to spread awareness.

The Rebound Game 2018

February 8, 2018

The second annual Rebound Game took place at Tennessee State University as the Tigers hosted the Belmont Bruins. 59 online pledges, countless support from game day attendees, Memphis Big Blue Club and others came together to support the Rebound Game at TSU.

Chipotle Fundraiser

February 10, 2018

The Rebound is teaming up with Chipotle. Mention The Rebound at any Chipotle in the Nashville area on February 10th and 50% of every order will be donated to us!

Jean Crowe Advocacy Center

February 20, 2018

Christina Ford, president of The Rebound, joins the team at the Jean Crowe Advocacy Center in Nashville. The Jean Crowe Advocacy Center makes court a safe and supportive environment for victims.

Relocation To Springfield

May 25, 2018

Dana Ford, co-founder of The Rebound, was recently named the new head men’s basketball coach for the Missouri State Bears. The Ford’s will continue their mission in Springfield, MO.
